How to Fly Free to Ireland Using Points

Flying out of BWI in Maryland we don’t have any direct flights to Ireland, but we do have a great quick flight on British Airways. The layover is just 1.5 hours, which is long enough to make sure you make your connection but not too long that you’re jetlagged.

This Business Class flight is pricey, at $4,800 each, but thanks to points we’re paying just 57.5k miles.

Business Class to Ireland on British Airways

Since the flight is so far out in the future, we should be able to easily find availability. What you want to do is keep searching on the Off Peak dates until you find available flights.

We were able to find 2 Business Class tickets.

The flights are a total of 115,500 miles plus $1,292 in fees. British Airways has expensive fuel surcharges, but even taking these into account, the cost of the flight is still a great value compared to paying full price.

At $4,800 and 57.5k miles each, that’s $.08 per point, a tremendous value.

Transfer Chase Points to BritishAirways to Book

To book your flight, you’ll need British Airways points, but before you transfer to BA, you want to ensure the flight is available.

How to Get 100k Chase Points

Based on the current cards you have, our recommendation is to get the Chase Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, which has an 100k sign up bonus when you spend $15,000 in the first 3 months, easily enough points for a 2 roundtrip flights in the US with bonus points left over.

This is a Business Card, and you can still apply even if you don’t have a business. Just enter in your first and last name as the business name, and it’s considered a sole proprietorship.

We offer this service for free, so please sign up using our credit card link to support more free consultations.

Right now we’re offering FREE Credit Card Consultations, so fill this out and let us know how we can help you plan your Dream Trip.
