We consider ourselves well versed in the men’s shoe department here at Life, Tailored. But we have a tendency to lean towards Italian loafers and polished leather. While we love a classic oxford, or a well-done wingtip, we don’t want to discriminate. Sometimes you just need a pair of sneakers.
We took to one of our favorite menswear retail sites, East Dane, and grabbed some of our favorite sneakers of the season. These kicks truly kick ass.
Minimal and Modern
For those who need a subtle switch before they dive into the sneaker game, we have the Esplar High Top Sneakers from Veja. Minimal detailing with just the right amount of cool.
Go Wild
Sometimes with sneakers the brighter the colors the better the look, this is one of those times. Throw them on with an otherwise toned down outfit to add some character and style. These kicks will definitely turn some heads.
Paul Smith Aesop Sneakers, $112.50.
The Classic
Classics are classics for a reason. Chuck Taylor’s are tried and true, and look good with just about anything. Grab a few colors, you’ll get plenty of use out of them.
Converse Chuck Taylor Sneakers, $50.
Classics, Modernized
If the straight up classics aren’t your thing, switch them out for a pair of these. They have an updated look, but still have the feeling of something Joey Ramone would have rocked. We approve.
Converse All Stars in Felt, $65.
Designer Meets Street
The perfect bridge between designer patterns and street style, we have the TSA Woven Sneakers from Filling Pieces. Bright and high enough to up your street cred, stylish enough to catch the attention of the high fashion lovers. This shit is a win-win.
Filling Pieces TSA Woven Sneakers, $230.
The Responsible Adult
Function meets fashion with these Puma Selects. Comfortable and toned down enough to wear in your dad jeans (which we hope you don’t own) and stylish enough to rock in Brooklyn.
Your Feet’s Graphic Tee
Rounding out the bunch is Paul Smith’s version of a graphic tee for your hooves. With some wild print on an otherwise toned down surface, these kicks are as bad ass as sneakers can be, with a mix of your fun graphic shoes from when you were a kid (without the lights).
