We found multiple flights to Israel and Jordan. This dream trip rings up around $8,400 in Business Class. We began our search with Middle East based airlines and found that flights using points redemption were unavailable. We are highlighting an American Airlines flight to Tel Aviv for 70k points each way in Business Class.
We searched Delta Airlines and found a $10,000 flight for an exorbitant 520k points. This option is giving you a scant $0.019 per point. We continued our search.
Next we searched United Airlines and found an $8,414 flight in Business Class for 180k points and a tiny fee giving you $0.047 per point.
We also found a $5,000 Business Class flight to Jordan for 85k points and a nominal fee giving you $0.059 per point. Which is a very good value.
Both of these are much better options than Delta. However, your Amex points will not easily convert and we think we can find a cheaper option, so we decided to keep searching.
Next we searched American Airlines and discovered a $9,340 Business Class flight for just 70k points each way. This option is giving you a great $0.067 per point.
To redeem this flight, you can sign into your Amex Membership Rewards portal and use the Pay With Points feature or transfer your points to Etihad Airlines and then book your American Airlines flight through their site since Amex is not an American Airlines partner.
