The first cocktail is not your average margarita – it’s made with Gran Patrón Platinum, the world’s finest platinum tequila, key lime juice and liquid nitrogen for an innovative drink meant to be a rare indulgence.
The Leap Year Margarita
Created by Stephen Halpin, Parliament (Dallas, TX)
2 oz Gran Patrón Platinum
.75 oz Patrón Citrónge Lime
.75 oz Key Lime Juice
.25 oz Yuzu Juice
2 Barspoons Key Lime Zest
Method:
Combine all ingredients in a stainless steel bowl and add liquid nitrogen. Stir consistently for 7 – 10 minutes until the liquid becomes a sorbet consistency. Add to a chilled coupe glass and top with a pearl of Patrón Citrónge Orange caviar*.

The second cocktail is the spicy margarita that was named winner of the margarita of the year competition Patron hosted. It’s a delicious drink, appropriate for any occasion.
Rosa Picante Margarita
2 oz Patrón Silver
.5 oz Patrón Citrónge Lime
1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
.5 oz ginger syrup
Bar spoon jalapeño oil
Dash rosewater
Rose petal sea salt
Method:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice to chill. Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe that has been half-rimmed with rose sea salt, and top with a dash of rose water. Garnish with a rose petal, if available.
