I am planning a trip to Thailand (November) for three weeks in 2021. I have a family of six. Three children, wife, mom and myself. I am looking at either economy or business class. I’m leaning more towards economy due to the fact my children are 8,9,12.

Cheap Flights from Los Angeles to Bangkok

We found multiple flights from LAX to BKK, but we’re highlighting the Thai Airways flight we found in Business Class for just 75k miles each way.

This flight clocks in at $4,306 for Business Class.

225k Business Class to Thailand Flights on Delta

Since you already have Delta points, we started our search there first, and Economy flights are 42,500 miles each way, but Business Class is a whopping 225k miles each way, making it 450k roundtrip, which is really insane.

One of the reasons we don’t recommend getting airline credit cards is because most airlines are really expensive when it comes to redeeming award flights, and since you can’t transfer the points (like you can with Bonvoy), it locks you into crazy redemptions.

Luckily, we kept our search and found a 75k Business Class flight…

75k Business Class to Thailand Flights on United

If you fly Economy, it’s 40k miles, but the sweet spot is the 75k Business Saver Award. At $2204 one-way, this flight is giving you $.029 per point.

To redeem this flight, you can transfer points from Marriott Bonvoy to United.

How to Get 80k United Points

Based on the current cards you have, our recommendation is to get the Chase Ink Business Preferred, which has an Amazing (check page for current promotion), easily enough points for a 2 roundtrip flights in the US with bonus points left over.
