Booking a First Class dream trip requires some research. Today we are helping our client sort through the options on five possible dream locations. We love the diverse list of locations including Iceland which we had the great pleasure of spending six weeks last year. If you choose this option, make sure that you contact Unnar of Reykjavik Rocks or just stop by to say hi over lunch at his Icelandic Street Food. Unnar is the ultimate guide and has his finger on the pulse of all things Icelandic including restaurants, tours, and accommodations in Reykjavik and beyond.

We found a short list of flights to Iceland ringing up just over $14, 000. Finding points flights to Iceland is rather tricky considering that Iceland Air is not a rewards partner with anyone and does not accept transfer of points from other airlines.
We searched Delta and found that this trip would have to wait until Delta’s flight season to Iceland begins. At $2,325 for a Premium Select flight, travelling on points will cost you a stiff 166k points plus $65 which is giving you just $0.015 per point.
We searched again and found a $14, 606 American Airlines First Class flight going for 115k points. This option is only giving you $0.037 per point.
We searched United Airlines and by pushing the flight dates out to early June we were able to find an $8,500 flight going for 90k points giving you $0.094 per point.
To redeem this flight, sign up for a Chase Ink Business card and transfer your bonus miles through Chase Ultimate Rewards to book United.
A First Class flight to Bali will set you back about $19,000. We found several flights going that way.
We searched Delta and found an $11,700 flight for 750k points +$460 which you might call skyway robbery. We decided to carry on our search.
Here we found a $26,615 flight on American Airlines going for 140k points giving you $0.19 per point but we think we can find a cheaper flight.
When we searched United Airlines, we found an $8,340 Business Class flight going for 93.5k points giving you $0.089 per point, a bit chintzy. This is much more reasonable than Delta’s offer.
You can redeem this flight by signing up for the Ink Business Preferred Credit Card and using your 100k bonus sign up points once you spend $15,000 within the first 3 months to book through Chase Ultimate Rewards.
First Class flights to the Amalfi Coast are pricing up to $10,000 and we found a few options to choose from.
We searched Delta and found a $10,000 First Class flight going for 620k points plus $74 giving you $0.02 per point. The amount of points required for this flight can only be described as exorbitant and we continued to search.
Our initial search dates on Alitalia were sold out for points flights to the Amalfi Coast. We adjusted our search by day and found a $7,399.85 flight round trip First Class from 04 Feb – 11 Feb for 200k points plus e390. Even though this trip is giving you $0.037 per point, the number of points you use is insanely high.
To redeem this flight transfer your Amex points to Alitalia for an instant 1:1 ratio.
We began our search on American Airlines for 12Feb-19Feb and found an $7,356 round trip First Class flight for 115k points. This trip is only giving you $0.064 per point but costs a fraction of the points used on Alitalia.
To redeem this flight transfer your Amex points to one of the four Oneworld Alliance Partners to book for American Airlines.
We found several First Class flights to Japan.
We searched American Airlines and found a $25,175 flight going for 120k points giving you $0.21 per point which is pretty phenomenal points rate although a little high on the points required to book.
When we searched United Airlines we found a great value with a $7,100 flight going for just 80k points giving you $0.089 per point. This option uses 25% fewer points than American.
You can redeem this flight using Chase Ink Business Preferred bonus points through the Chase Ultimate Portal.
We searched Belle Mont Farm and only came up with one flight.
We searched American Airlines and we found a $1,537 flight for 50k points giving you $0.031 per point. The previous dream trip destinations require a large volume of points making Belle Mont an exceptional value at 50k.
To redeem this flight, use your American Airline points to book.
Based on the current cards you have, our recommendation is to get the Chase Ink Business Preferred, which has an 100k bonus sign up points once you spend $15,000 within the first 3 months, easily enough points for a First Class flight to Tokyo, to Belle Mont with 30k points to spare, or a tremendous start on booking to Bali or Iceland. Easily transfer your points through Chase Ultimate Rewards to complete your booking.
