Allison Williams is an America actress, singer, comedian who is prominent for starring as Marnie Michaels on the comedy- drama series from HBO, Girls. She is also the daughter of the news anchor Brian Williams and currently engaged to the co-founder of the comedy website CollegeHumor, Ricky Van Veen.

Allison Williams Biography

Allison Williams is the daughter of TV producer Jane Gillan Stoddard and TV anchor Brian Williams. She is a graduate of Yale University in 2010 with a degree in English and a member of the Yale University’s improv comedy group “Just Add Water” for four years. She was also part of the YouTube series College Musical.

She has always wanted to be an actress, even before knowing anything else about life and before understanding what his dad does, she said. She also described herself as “a very passionate person”.

In 2010, she performed a mashup for the theme song the TV series Mad Men. Her YouTube video began spreading and became viral and received praise, it convinced Judd Apatow to give her the part in the HBO series, Girls. Williams starred as Kate Middleton in the series Funny or Die sketches where she wrote the series. She played with the English model- actor Oliver Jackson-Cohen who acted Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. She also appeared as a Danielle in the third season of The League entitled “The Guest Bong” as a guest. She also has a recurring character in the CollegeHumor series, Jake and Amir, who she played as Cheryl.

She appeared on the Fox series, The Mindy Project, and NBC’s American Dreams as a guest.

She is not fond of using Twitter, and even creating an open letter with the details of her dislike about it. “It’s because I put up walls. Not to hold anything in, but to keep my thoughts from escaping. I protect myself from myself… I am actually pretty private when I’m not pretending to be someone else.” – she said.
