In the middle of this cold and blustery winter comes a much-needed breath of summer. This Sunday, February 22nd we celebrate National Margarita Day! There is no better way to celebrate the crowd-pleasing Margarita than by making a fresh batch of your own. Mix it with Don Julio Tequila, Mexico’s original luxury craft tequila, to really impress your friends.  The enticing blend of raw agave, black pepper, and fresh citrus notes combined with fresh lime juice, spicy jalapeño, and orange bitters will transport your get together straight to the warmth of the Mexican sun on this spirited holiday!

Mid-Winter Margarita

*This recipe yields 5 servings, to be enjoyed with friends.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Don Julio Blanco Tequila
1 2/3 oz Grand Marnier
3 1/3 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz Agave Syrup
1 Sliced Jalapeño
Splash of Orange Bitters

Preparation:
Muddle jalapeño in a cocktail shaker with agave syrup.
Add Don Julio Blanco Tequila, Grand Marnier, fresh lime juice, orange bitters and ice into a shaker. Shake well.
Strain contents into a pitcher over ice so that guests may serve themselves.
