Spring at Mr. Porter

As temperatures rise and we trade in those hefty duffle coats for some lightweight bombers, we can’t help but think this is the perfect time to trade in some of those old threads for a new wardrobe that makes itself known.  We want some bright colors, some head turners, and some simple staples that go a long way.  So whenever we’re looking for a complete closet overhaul, with everything from shoes to jackets, our first stop is Mr. Porter.

No matter the season we’re never disappointed, and Mr. Porter’s current stock is no different.  Here are our favorite new pieces at Mr. Porter for spring.

Bottega Veneta

Simple, lightweight, stylish.  This is one of those spring staple pieces you can bust out every year.  Works in the city with some jeans or chinos, and on the golf coarse when the weather takes a turn.  Wherever you wear it you’re going to have the coolest windbreaker around.

Bottega Veneta Lightweight Hooded Jacket, $1,200.

Alex Mill

A great way to add some color to your trouser collection.  Plus, army green is in and goes with damn near everything.  Wingtips for work, and rolled up with some loafers for happy hour.

Alex Mill Ripstop Cotton Trousers, $175.

Burberry Brit

The perfect modern bomber jacket.  Casual enough to wear with your jeans and chucks, but it’s Burberry, so throw it on over a button up and tie and it feels right at home.

Burberry Brit Jersey-Trimmed Lightweight Bomber Jacket, $495.

Marc by Marc Jacobs

Spring means summer will be here in no time, which means you need to be beach ready.  What’s a better way to mentally prepare yourself than to have a kick ass swimsuit waiting for you?  Choose this one.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Mid-Length Swim Shorts, $150.

Incotex

Something as simple as a new tee in your rotation can add a ton of depth to your wardrobe.  Wear it with… well, it’s a t-shirt, wear it however you’d like!

Incotex Stripped Cotton T-Shirt, $375.

Saturdays Surf NYC

Like a t-shirt, a simple crewneck sweatshirt is a great staple piece.  Switch up the accessories and you can literally wear it anywhere.  This crewneck from Saturdays is one of our favorite, minimalistic pullovers we’ve seen in awhile.

Saturdays Surf NYC Printed Cotton-Jersey Sweatshirt, $100.

Thom Browne

A closet makeover is hardly complete without stepping up the shoe collection.  These penny loafers from Thom Browne are ripe for spring, adding some much needed color to your feet while sticking with the classy vibe.  You can’t go wrong with these.

Thom Browne Leather Penny Loafers, $1,200.
