1When planning your outfit start with your jacket and shoes
When I’m planning an outfit, the first place I start is to figure out what the weather is dictating I have to wear. When I shot this look, it was about mid-50s which meant I needed to wear a heavy enough jacket to keep me warm. So I chose this brown Burberry jacket and paired it with a different shade of brown in these UGG boots.
2Pair different shades of your primary color in your outfit
I’ve got three different shades of brown in my outfit, which creates some nice contrast and avoids making me look like a super hero.
3Brighten up a gloomy Fall day with some white
I like to wear white on gloomy days to lift my mood, and the best way to do it is to pair the white with a darker jacket so you don’t end up looking like a painter. Brown boots also soften up the look (as opposed to black) and are a great fit for a Fall day.
4Invest in some boot spray
After a long day of wearing boots, my feet get all sorts of sweaty which can lead to some nasty odors going on in my boots.
