Our Favorite Grooming Products from MenEssentials

We’re like kids in a candy store when it comes to new grooming products. We literally can’t get enough of them. So when we find a new site, or some new kick ass products, we can’t wait to share them with you. Our newest site we can’t get enough of is MenEssentials, a grooming site focused on helping men get the best quality shaving, skincare, hair, and beard products on the market that you don’t already know about.

We aren’t going to take the time to show you each and every awesome product available at MenEssentials, but we definitely have to pass on our favorite two.

Layrite Cement

I honestly can’t even count the amount of hair products in my bathroom anymore. I have creams, pomades, gels, clays, sprays and god knows what else. What I can tell you is that I actually use very few of them, because in my opinion, most of them suck. I’ve had this cement for less than a week and I already love it. It has a matte finish, so you never look like a grease ball, it’s smooth and easy to mold and work with, and it smells amazing– think clean vanilla.

Layrite Cement gives you a super strong hold without having to use very much of it (you need much less than is shown in the above photo), meaning it’s likely going to last me a ridiculously long time. If you are looking for something that is easy to use and keeps your hair perfect for hours on end, stop searching and pick up a tub of this stuff already.

Layrite Cement Pomade, $25.

Elvado Aftershave Balm

Fragrance free and completely herbal, this aftershave works wonders on your skin. I was initially turned off by the lack of cooling when applying it– I’ve become used to aftershave with menthol– and thought this would deter me from truly loving this product. But, after using it a few times I’ve definitely changed my mind. I don’t need the cooling when my skin feels this soft.

I also thought I’d be bummed with the lack of fragrance, again, I was mistaken. I’ve come to realize having a fragrance free formula means the smells aren’t clashing with my cologne, and that is definitely a good thing. But my favorite thing about this aftershave, and small as it is, is the package it comes in. I love the pump, it gives you the perfect amount of lotion without being wasteful. Just enough to cover your face, and it doesn’t leak all over the place. If you have sensitive skin, go for this aftershave. It will be your new best friend.

Elvado Fragrance Free Aftershave Balm, $19.99
