Our 10 Best Hair Products for Men

Do you remember a time when there was just one shampoo for all types of hair and you didn’t use any other additional products to style your hair other than your fingers? Well, times have changed and even though some are nostalgically turning back to the methods before the invention of synthetic shampoo, such as the ‘No Poo’ method, most of us grab just about any new product that promised shiny, healthy and beautiful hair.

There’s so many different hairstyles out there now, from long manes to going comando, and if you add numerous hair types to that equation, it’s no surprise we’re bombed with hair products from every direction. To make some sense out of this madness, we prepared a list of 10 best hair products for men that can be found on the market today and will hopefully clear out what exactly it is that you’re looking for.

Check out our guide to long hair trends and short hairstyles.

Fellow Barber Strong Pomade, $22

This is the closest we can get to a good old hair wax. It has a hard hold and a shiny finish. It will tame curls and keep hair in place on sculpted and slicked-back looks.

Fellow Barber Strong Pomade, $22

American Crew 3-In-1, $22.25

We love an efficient product and 3-In-1 is exactly that. All-in-one Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash is perfect for travel or the gym, but there’s no harm in using it in your home bathroom as well.

American Crew 3-In-1, $22.25

Jack Black Hair Gel, $16

If you find it hard to brake old habits and using regular hair gel is one of them, they at least switch it up for a proper hair product. Jack Black Hair Gel doesn’t have a sticky feel or leave your hair crisp as chips, it’s light and puts your hair into place.

Jack Black Hair Gel, $16

Fudge Unleaded Skyscraper Spray, $6.59

If you think just any hairspray will do, then you probably don’t mind the wet and sticky look. Fudge Skyscraper Spray is a medium hold spray, that finishes your style just perfectly; adding style support yet leaving your hair soft to the touch, not sticky.

Fudge Unleaded Skyscraper Spray, $6.59

Redken 07 Full Frame Protective Volumizing Mousse, $19

If you’re looking to add some volume to your long locks or your razor cut, then this Redken volumizing mousse is the perfect product for you. It volumizes, moisturizes and protect hair without being stiff or heavy.

Redken 07 Full Frame Protective Volumizing Mousse, $19

Cold Spring Apothecary Sea Salt Spray, $23

This is an awesome product if you’re looking to add some beach coolness to your hair. Magnesium-rich dead sea salts build volume, and create random, undone texture without the drying effects of most sea salt sprays. The addition of coconut and jojoba oils condition and soften the hair without weighing it down.

Cold Spring Apothecary Sea Salt Spray, $23

Apothecary 87 Milly’s Vanilla & Mango Beard Oil, $59.54

If you’re up with the current hair trends then it’s quite possible you’re growing a beard as well. Many are still not quite sure how to groom them, so hopefully this product with conditioning oil for the manliest of man beards will do the trick.

Apothecary 87 Milly’s Vanilla & Mango Beard Oil, $59.54

Moroccanoil Heat Styling Protection Spray, $29.97

Moroccanoil has a bunch of amazing produtcs you can use for styling, nurturing and repairing your hair. We chose the Heat Styling Protection Spray for its effective prevention of breakage and split ends. If you use electrical hairdressing equipment on a daily basis, then this is a must buy.

Moroccanoil Heat Styling Protection Spray, $29.97

Sebastian Professional Dynamic Dry Shampoo, $13.35

Dry shampoo is such a great alternative to, well, no shampoo at all. Because being in a hurry shouldn’t mean you need to wear a camouflage hat. Sebastian Professional Dynamic Dry Shampoo will refresh your hair, absorb excess oil at your roots and give your hair a boost between washes.

Sebastian Professional Dynamic Dry Shampoo, $13.35

Mr Natty Clay, $24.98

Mr Natty Clay is a thicker textured hair preparation, excellent for a long lasting matte broken up finish. The clay will leave hair with a light, but fantastic scent, and is easily washed out. This product is especially great for razored or point cut deep hairstyles with lots of texture and dishevelled appearance.
