Uber has partnered with 6 local charities to which they will donate a dollar for each ride you take. On April 1st they will also donate an additional $10,000 to the charity that racks up the most rides, so choose carefully.
To get involved in this great charity action enter the promo code of your favorite charity in the Uber app. Request uberX, UberBLACK or UberSUV in NYC and ride for a cause till 31st March. The more you ride and more friends you get involved, the bigger your donation.
