Fall Comes to Andaz Tokyo with Menus Full of The Season`s Best

If you happen to travel to Tokyo in the upcoming weeks, then you need to stop by and have a meal at Andaz Tokyo. They are saying farewell to Summer and brings in new autumn seasonal offerings. At the hotel’s main dining venue, Andaz Tavern, guests can enjoy the famous Spanish dish paella prepared with an abundance of locally sourced ingredients from the land and sea of Hokkaido. In addition, take advantage of a rare opportunity at Andaz Tavern to enjoy all parts of the tuna from nose to tail.

In celebration of Oktoberfest, BeBu will offer bottomless beers from Munich and classic German dishes. Pastry Shop’s lineup of Halloween treats are available in mischievous shapes, as well as roasted apples in two flavors. AO Spa & Club guests will be pampered with this season’s “Fall For Me” offer, which customizes each guest’s needs to revitalize and reenergize from summer fatigue.

Hokkaido, famous for its seafood and agricultural products is perfect for the Andaz Tavern paella, a well-known Spanish rice dish, cooked with the best ingredients Hokkaido has to offer. Paella is cooked with an assortment of seafood, featuring Hakodate Surume Squid, Shirogai Clam and Wassamu rice chosen especially for this dish.

Their chefs have created two unique dishes combining the best of Hokkaido’s sea and land, including rice and vegetables, to create Andaz Tavern style paella. Ingredient highlights include, Yoichi cherry tomatoes (known for their sweetness and vibrant red color), along with sea snails and cod fish, all add a delicate fresh ocean salt taste to this savory dish.

The chefs at Andaz Tavern are offering a “Nose-to-tail” experience showcasing tuna, Japan’s most popular fish. In an effort to utilize all parts of the tuna, highlights include akami, chu toro and o toro. Guests can also experience lesser known cuts such as the tail braised and served in the adaptation of the classic Italian ossobucco, while the akami will be served as a traditional Niçoise salad. Grilled tuna and burdock, roasted and then marinated in a simple vinaigrette, will be served as a warm salad. To start your dining experience, the fatty gill is torched and served in the leek & smoked potato soup. While crispy fried heat meat will feature amongst the mushroom risotto topped with winter truffles, offering intensely satisfying appetizers.

BeBu, the neighborhood café and bar, brings the world famous Oktoberfest to Andaz Tokyo, presented in the hotel’s distinctive style. Executive Sous Chef Gregor Streun, born in the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany, the birthplace of the festival, will prepare traditional German dishes to go along with a selection of original Munich Oktoberfest beers. For this special occasion, BeBu will introduce a signature Bavarian burger featuring a grilled pork sausage patty, curry sauce and sauerkraut, served in a laugen bun. Come and enjoy the real flavors of Germany.
