Cheap Flights from Los Angeles to Paris with Points

We waited a long time and took a lot of trips to other amazing places before we finally visited Paris, and boy were we missing out. Even though Wei and I don’t love French food, we absolutely love wine, cheese, and bread, and we could spend months just visiting different cafes and eating those three things.

We’ve researched a one-way flight from Los Angeles to Paris for just 30k miles, which is normally how many miles it could cost to fly from LA to Houston.

If you want to take a flight with points, fill out our Free Dream Trip: Free Credit Card Consultation, and you will see your report produced just like this one.

Cheap Flights from Los Angeles to Bangkok

Searching for flights on Google in April, on the legacy carriers like Delta, United and Airfrance, it’s a whopping $1,761 each way. You can fly on a budget airline like Norwegian, but that experience is less than ideal.

Instead, if we use points, we can get this same flight for just 30k miles or $.0587 per point. Let’s find out how to book these flights and where…

42.5k American Express Miles on Airfrance

If you have Amex points in your account, you can easily transfer them Airfrance, one of the transfer partners of the Membership Rewards program.

To find your flight, start your search on Airfrance, and then once you identify the best routes and pricing, transfer your points to Airfrance.

30k Chase Miles on United

Getting Chase miles can sometimes be more difficult, but the redemptions can be a lot stronger than with Amex, and that’s why I always recommend having an Amex and a Chase card, so you can take advantage of the best transfer partners for your flights.

We found this United flight for just 30k miles, and of course United is a transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards.

How to Get 100k United Points

Based on the current cards you have, our recommendation is to get the Chase Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, which has an 100k sign up bonus, when you spend $15k in the first 3 months, easily enough points for a 2 roundtrip flights in the US with bonus points left over.

How to get 100k American Express Points

I was browsing Instagram the other day when I came across an ad for the The Platinum Card from American Express card and a 100k point welcome bonus. Those 100k points are enough for 1 roundtrip flight to Paris plus some miles leftover.

To see if you qualify for this offer or any other of the highest paying Amex bonuses, use the CardMatch tool. It’s free, it doesn’t pull your credit and it’s the best way to get the most Amex points.
