Uber and Postmates are two of the best, most revolutionary companies of the past two years. I use Uber on a weekly basis and can’t live without it. Uber, if you haven’t used it yet is an on-demand car service that has made me hate taxing cabs. You summon a car, and its there for you. This past Thursday I used Postmates, a new on-demand service that delivers anything to you for $4.99.
Postmates was running a special, as a way to introduce people to the service, where you got a free pint of ice cream in New York. The deliver charge was $7.95 and included tip and the cost of the ice cream. Needless to say, the service was perfect. (Minus a mixup with tipping the couriers. Couriers can’t take cash tips, if you want to tip them, do it through the app)
