The holidays are a time to reflect and be thankful for all we have. It is also the time of year to think of those who are less fortunate and whose life we can change by being socially conscious consumers. As consumers we have the power to create and inspire change and fashion brands are now making it easy for us to shop and give back. Brands anywhere from Nick Graham to Kiehls are creating charitable initiatives that support some awesome causes. So in honor of National Philanthropy Day and the holidays, I am bringing you a list of stylish items that I personally love for the men in your life! Trust me you won’t have to sacrifice style!
These are a few of my faves!! 🙂
Brand: Nick Graham Holiday Gift Set that includes: Dress Shirt, Silk Neckwear and Wallpaper City Guide
Impact: Every tie set purchased from December 1st through the 25th helps those in need with Nick Graham’s One For One Campaign. For every set purchased during the campaign, the brand will donate a set to Career Gear.
Organization: Career Gear helps men who are low income enter the workforce by providing business appropriate clothing.
Brand: Feed
Impact: Each bag bought provides 1 child with school meals for 1 year.
Organization: Feed was founded by Lauren Bush and it’s mission is to “create good products” that “help FEED the children of the world”.
Brand: Kiehl’s
Impact: Kiehl’s Gives is an ongoing global, philanthropic initiative that supports Kiehl’s three pillar causes — HIV/AIDS research, environmental issues and children’s well-being.
Brand: Jack Spade
Impact: This product is completely sourced in Rwanda and is part of the On Purpose Jack Spade Collection. Each purchase supports over 100 women and men by providing them with new skills and jobs. This is not a charitable initiative but a commitment to give communities training skills so that they can sustain themselves and participate in the global marketplace.
Brand: Warby Parker
Impact: At Warby Parker you buy one pair of glasses and they donate a pair. Each month they donate an amount of glasses to non-profits they work with. The non-profits train women and men in developing countries to give basic eye exams and then sell glasses for an affordable price to their communities.
Brand: Anthony Logistics
Impact: All of the proceeds of this body scrub and other items at Anthony Logistics will go to prostate cancer research. In addition to their support for Prostate Cancer Research, a percentage of the proceeds from the Shaveworks brand will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
