For Fall/Winter 2015 Rag & Bone’s menswear collection is anchored in the concept of urban armor. Layering, high-low fabrications and languid silhouettes, coupled with utilitarian detailing from engulfing neck styles and draw cords, elucidate the collection’s street-ready attitude. Fabrics and silhouettes are rendered beyond their usual context. Knits are constructed as wovens and vice versa. Graphic stripes and stitching detailing extend to suiting which is deconstructed with raw edge treatments.
In outerwear, performance and technical based styles from rubber coated linen and melton coats are countered with a modern approach to luxe in construction-free felted wool blanket coats and shearling hooded jackets. Accessories are amped up for Fall with oversized wool scarves and snoods and rucksacks comprised in the same fabrications as outerwear. The footwear line expands including directional trainers. The collection’s color palette is muted in tones of grey, navy, sage, rust and ivory. Survival yellow supplies the accent color. The whole collection is a great example of streetwear art.
