Marané: Elegantly Cool Swim Trunks

Founders of the label, Christine Serhal and Alessandro Aquilina, use the seaside beauty and natural allure of this wondrous location as a touchpoint for Marané, and all of its fine, unique details. They created Marané as a way to translate their heritage into high-quality constructed pieces with an incomparable brand perspective.

The Marané man isn’t afraid to dig his feet into the sand, put his swim trunks on and dive into the water. He has a classic style and invests in quality and durability. This is reflected in the brand’s signature swim trunk called Manantiales. This style has an adjustable waistband for a comfortable fit, pressure-bonded seams for a durable finish and flattened front and back panels for a tailored silhouette.

The Horizon Collection was inspired by the skies of their hometown, incorporating prints that were made to inspire the sophisticated man to go to his own escape. For this range, Marané collaborated with local artist Claudio Pincasto to create watercolors that capture the spirit of Punta del Este’s skyline. Pincasto’s paintings were sublimated directly onto fabric.

Pincasto designed a swim trunk that feels completely comfortable but still has the look of a tailored short. The fabric is 100% polyester with a brushed finish sourced from Belgium. The trims have a superior finish, while the cord ends and eyelets have a gunmetal finish and are sourced from the UK.
