These are my go to wardrobe essentials.
The pieces below are expensive — I know I got sticker shock when I first was learning how to invest in myself.
The thing to remember is if you invest in high quality clothing, it will reduce the amount of shopping you do. I remember I used to want to go shopping every week. I would go to H&M, Zara, Forever 21, etc. and always want to come out of the store with something.
My closet was filled with a bunch of clothes I bought, but never loved, and constantly had me wanting more.
That all changed when I bought my first pair of Common Projects. I wanted to wear them every day, and every time I went into a clothing store after that, I felt really satisfied. I didn’t like any of their styles and knew I had the best.
So the key to building a truly epic style game is to start slow. Add one amazing piece that you can’t stop thinking of, and then slowly add more until you have enough pieces to create your outfits.
Here’s my suggestion for a breakdown:
This varies depending on what climate you live in, but it’s a good rule to live by.
Hope you enjoy!
