UberRush, the new courier service from Uber is pushing hard to get you to try it out.

Get $30 off your first delivery when you place your delivery before 5/31/14. Use the promo code “RUSHNYC” to get your discount.

From a quick price check, UberRush is very expensive if you need to send something across the city. Going from Financial District to Upper East Side is something like $40. A comparable courier charges just $20.

Uber does have the convenience factor, but at this price I don’t see this service lasting.
