Uber Wows Us Once Again: Introducing Uber Rush

Uber-Rush

We have loved being picked up and arriving in style since Uber has graced the nation (and pretty much the rest of the world) with their presence.  But when a company is this good, the innovation doesn’t just stop at cars.

Uber Rush is the new messenger delivery service from Uber.  The current zone covers all of Manhattan below 110th, but in true Uber fashion this zone is likely to expand fast.

Here’s How Uber Rush Works

Like all other things Uber, you can find Uber Rush directly in the app.  Simply choose the Rush option, and your bike messenger is on their way.

Once the Uber Rush messenger has arrived and you’ve given them the delivery instructions you can track your delivery status via the Uber app until it is dropped off.  But don’t freak out if your tracking pauses for a short time, no one has run off with your package.  The Uber messengers use the quickest way to get from point ‘A’ to ‘B’, which means at times your items will accompany them on the subway, and the tracking will be temporarily unavailable.

What Uber Rush Can Deliver For You

NYC-Deliveries-Uber-Rush

Uber Rush can deliver plenty of things for you, but of course there are restrictions.  Documents, keys, clothing, and basically anything else under 30 lbs that an average messenger can carry is in their wheelhouse.

The things  you aren’t allowed to send off with one of the Uber Rushers: kids, animals, drugs, weapons, anything over 30 lbs, alcohol and rare or very expensive items.  So as convenient as it may be to have a messenger drop little Bobby off at daycare when you’re running behind, that’s not going to happen.

Also, the messengers will not purchase and deliver anything to you.  And if you do have them come your way and realize it is a restricted item once they arrive, there is a cancellation fee for the hassle.  So if you have something questionable, click here and read up on all the things you can and can’t have delivered.
