Ritz-Carlton Montreal will exclusively debut a beautiful new line of uniforms this winter. New York City-based designer Eli Caner has collaborated with the iconic Montreal hotel for her label, Lady and Butler, on a series of new front-of-house uniforms. Eli created Lady and Butler as a fashion forward, style-driven uniform company focusing on creating bespoke and ready-to-wear garments for the hospitality industry. The sophisticated new uniforms – specially designed for the hotel – will launch in February 2016.
Inspired by the hotel’s iconic colours and interiors, the Lady and Butler uniforms will feature intricate details in the designs, as well as custom made polka dot prints that are akin to the circles on the wallpaper around the hotel. The exact print has been replicated to make ties and pocket squares. Women and men will have specially designed uniforms; concierges will wear purple ties with black dots; and the front desk team will conversely wear black ties with purple polka dots.
Awarded “Best City Hotel in Canada” in Travel + Leisure’s 2015 World Best Awards, Ritz-Carlton Montreal is the first hotel in the world to combine the Ritz and Carlton designations. Located in the heart of Golden Square Mile – home to Montreal’s elite in the early twentieth century – today it remains a symbol of refinement and elegance.
