When you finally decide to take a break from life and take a vacation, one of the hardest and most frustrating aspects of planning your getaway is deciding what hotel to stay at. There are two common problems when it comes to booking a hotel:
- Finding a hotel that is affordable, comfortable, and provides you with a unique stay.
- Avoiding chain companies like Hilton or Holiday Inn that don’t offer any kind of distinct experience.
The answer to these problems is Stayful; a one-of-a-kind bidding system where you get to choose the hotel you stay at and how much you want to pay. Stayful was founded by experts from major online travel booking companies such as Hotels.com, Expedia, and Kayak. The founders of this company wanted to provide customers with a unique experience and the chance to be in total control of their getaway.
Stayful allows travelers to choose a hotel from a massive list of independent and boutique hotels. On an average night, these hotels can have up to 40% of their rooms remain vacant due to lack of advertising and not-so-good rates. Stayful compiles and vets all rates listed on other competitor’s sites and gives you the option to either accept the lowest rate or directly offer the hotel you want to stay a lower bid through their proprietary bidding system. It is up to the hotel to accept your bid, or offer you a different price.
Stayful is currently in 6 major US cities and will soon be in over 10 at the end of the year.
I am extremely excited for the full launch of Stayful and excited to be able to enjoy the opportunity to be in charge of where I want to stay at a price that I choose.
