How to Get to San Jose del Cabo

  • By Air
    The city is accessible when you fly to go there, the airport is near and has direct flights to and from Mexico City, Guadalajara, Tijuana, and big cities of the USA. From the airport, you can just take a bus or taxi to go to the beaches or hotels.
  • By Car
    There is a way through the southern borders of the States and Mexico. It takes around 24 hours if you take Highway 1 when you drive a car to San Jose del Cabo, and gets 2 more hours on Highway 19.
  • By Ferry
    From the main spot in Mexico to San Jose, You have to book a ticket in advance to get on a ferry that will pass the Sea of Cortez going to La Paz, Mazlatan, and Los Mochis. It will take more or less 8 hours to Los Mochis but the trips are not every day.
  • By Bus
    The cheapest way to get to San Jose is to take a local bus, though, it is the least comfortable. There are trips from the mainland of Mexico to some cities of Baja California like La Paz, Los Cabos, Todos Santos Loreto, and San Felipe.

Mexico is a tropical country so it is mostly warm to hot all year round. They have four seasons but in fall and Winter the temperature is not that cold in downtowns but there is some snow on the mountains and peaks. The Best months to go to San Jose del Cabo that is located in the northwest of Mexico is from June to September, the summertime of the country.

The rainy season of the country is from May to October every year. In the morning, it is sunny but the rain storms come in the afternoon and it is dry at night. The temperature is cool at night though and rain will have stopped.
