Why Are Millennial Brits Moving to Australia?

Brits have always shown a willingness to relocate to sunnier climates, and for good reason. It appears that newer generations are only too keen to continue that trend, with a 60 percent increase in millennial emigration in 2016.

In fact, the MoveHub.com study further revealed that approximately 350,000 enquiries regarding relocation were made within a 12-month period.

The number one motivation behind wanting to emigrate was better job prospects (50 percent), while general living expenses were the important aspect to consider when deciding upon a destination.

A country that is always on the radar when it comes to millennial relocation is Australia. Millennial Brits are moving to Australia to find opportunities in a relatively new country with a rapid rise in economy and population. It’s been said that today’s Australia is like the USA some half a century ago: full of opportunity and enthusiasm.

Relocation and Technology

One thing that makes it easier for millennials to relocate is their ability to use technology. They’re not only using the Web to find opportunities but to earn a living, whether remotely for a company or to make money independently. Whether it’s making money on Amazon, blogging, or becoming a YouTube celebrity, millennials recognize that the Internet is not just the future of making money, but the here and now.

Another way in which they are earning a living is through financial trading, which they’re educating themselves about online. Armed with knowledge and trading strategies such as short selling. Australia offers a haven for savvy Millennials. It just maybe why so many Brits moving to Australia are choosing one of the most important cities in the world when it comes to financing: Sydney.

Beautiful Sydney

Sydney, in particular, has a North American/European way of life, with every kind of service imaginable, for both business and pleasure. However, the efficient and contemporary infrastructure, low levels of pollution, and a lower population density than other cities means that quality of life is even better.

Of course, there are the more well-known reasons to move to Sydney, such as its splendid beaches and glorious harbor. The country’s best architects, writers, models, stockbrokers, actors, foodies, and musos flock here to make their mark, and with dazzling effect. The result is an optimistic, ambitious, and hyperenergetic feast for the senses, where anything goes.

The place to do business

For those seeking job opportunities in an environment surrounded by nature at its finest, there may be nowhere in the world more suited thanthe Central Business District (CBD).. Overlooking the Sydney Harbour, the CBD features the courts of law, reserve bank, and Australian stock exchange.

Power suits make their way through the busy streets while enjoying the parks on their lunch breaks. While the area may mean business during the week, its social scene thrives on the weekends. In addition to the world-class entertainment provided by the nearby Opera House, there are numerous clubs, bars, restaurants, and cafes in the area.

Whether for business or pleasure, millennial Brits have clearly earmarked Sydney as the land of opportunity.
