To anyone who thinks electric cars don’t pack a punch surely missed out last week. The Formula E race was in Red Hook, and these all-electric cars were flying around city streets at 150mph, going 0 to 60 in 3 seconds.
This was New York’s first ePrix race, and it brought out all the big names. Leo and Thor himself both showed up to toast the winners with G.H. Mumm champagne. I was lucky enough to be invited to the kickoff party on Friday night, which hopefully you saw on my IG story.
On Friday, Maison Mumm unveiled a new movie featuring Usain Bolt embracing the Mumm challenge: catch a fly champagne cork before it hit the ground.
The film was broadcast across an entire building in Red Hook, and was simply stunning to witness.
My review of G.H. Mumm’s flavor profile
I got a chance to try G.H. Mumm, which was my first time even being exposed to the brand and I came away more than impressed.
Its got a nice clean taste that I didn’t grow tired of (which I normally do with the more notable champagnes) after a couple of glasses. It’s being marketed to men of class and discerning, which I consider myself one of, and I think it hits the right mark.
I’m looking forward to working more with Mumm and will keep you guys posted of future events and what to look for from the brand. Until then, enjoy the coverage.
