Today we are helping book a solo trip to fly to Orlando for 6.5k points. Orlando is a wildly popular location for its Disney and Universal attractions along International Drive. We love dining at Enzo’s on the Lake and hitting Science Night Live or Dr. Phillip’s Center after a fun filled day in this tropical paradise.

I am planning a trip to Japan in early July, a trip to Orlando in mid July and another trip in the late summer. No destination for the second trip yet, flexible but I want it to be international (thinking South America).
Also I love to travel and am a teacher. I get annual vacations in the summer (late June through August), about two weeks in late December to early January for the holidays, 1 week in mid February, and 1 week in mid April.

Cheap Flights to Orlando

We found multiple cheap flights to Orlando. Getting there will set you back around $165 typically. We are highlighting a 6.5k flight giving you $0.024 per point.

Fly to Orlando for 25k Points on United

We searched United Airlines and found a $248 flight for 25k points giving you $0.009 per point. This is not a very good option for its high use of points and poor rate per point so we continued searching.

Fly to Orlando for 20k Points on American

Our search of American Airlines netted us a $236 flight going for 20k points. This option gives you $0.012 per point. A slightly better alternative but we believe we can do better.

Fly to Orlando for 6.5k Points on Jet Blue

We searched Jet Blue and found a a $289 flight going for a cheap 6.5k points heading to Orlando with a 5.4k return flight. This super low 11.9k point option will give you a better $0.024 per point.

To redeem this flight, you can transfer your Chase points at a 1:1 ratio. Simply sign up for a JetBlue TrueBlue account and link it to your Chase Ultimate Rewards. Once inside your Chase Ultimate Rewards portal, select “Transfer to Travel Partners,” under airlines, choose JetBlue, and then select “Transfer Points.” Next, go to the Jet Blue site and book your flight.

How to Get an Additional 60k Points

Based on the current cards you have, our recommendation is to get the Citi Premier Card which has a 60k sign up bonus, when you spend $4,000 in the first 3 months, for a Round trip flight to Orlando with points to spare. This card also offers 3x travel points.
