Experience a New Way of Banking at Capital One Union Square

I was recently invited to the opening of a new Capital One branch in Union Square… I mean how could I pass up a branch opening so awesome it had a guest list and open bar all night?

This Was The First Time I Actually Wanted to Visit a Bank Branch

Last week we attended the opening of a new Capital One flagship bank on Union Square at 14th and Broadway, and we were blown away!

Their flagship branch location is not just a bank — It’s an innovative space where you can experience a new way of banking and sit back and relax while doing it.

The Union Square location offers customers everything a normal bank would, with a few bonuses: advice on bank accounts, they help you apply for a loan, show you how to use the latest online/mobile banking tools and ultimately help you reach your financial goals.

You are also able to transfer money, receive cashier checks and learn more about their credit cards, investing, auto lending and Spark Small Business products.

And on top of all that, you can sip a handcrafted Peet’s Coffee beverage while you’re there at 50% off when using the Capital One credit or debit card.

They Are Definitely Embracing Digital Banking

What we love about them is that at Capital One you have the ability to bank more ways using the latest digital tools and innovations, which makes it easier to manage your money.

They make bold moves to redesign the banking experience so that the customer feels like their money always fuels their purpose.

It’s also a one-of-a-kind space that includes a coffee place, lounge and work space with free wifi to recharge your devices or do a little work.

And this is open to anyone, you don’t have to be a Capital One customer.

The basement floor also has meeting spaces and small conference rooms for community groups and organizations to meet, as well as a table with iPads for people to browse through online products, booth seating overlooking Union Square and areas for people to talk to bank associates about Capital One’s full suite of products, if they’re interested.

We’re sure you have more questions, so here’s a little Q&A from the Capital One staff to help you out:

What is the difference between this Branch and other Bank Branches Capital One current has open in NYC?

The NYC Flagship location is an innovative space where you can experience a new way of banking.

Providing coffee to our customers and incorporating places for people to sit and relax creates an inviting space for people to do banking on their own terms.

We want our customers to feel like they have the flexibility of banking more ways, through our tools and services, as well as through the environments they choose to bank.

What is the difference between a Café and a Branch that serves coffee?

Capital One provides customers many ways to bank, be it in a café, branch, app or online.

The Capital One Café provides individuals a space where they can recharge their bank accounts, devices and lives while learning new ways to manage their finances, try out new digital and financial tools or chat with a Café Ambassador.

All in a relaxed setting, all over a fresh cup of coffee. Our Café Ambassadors can provide guidance on how to use the latest digital tools and can help with our 360 products, including Savings and Checking, and can be available for basic credit card servicing capabilities.

The NYC flagship location of our new branch offers customers those same services in addition to:

– Advice on bank accounts or open a new one

– Helping customers learn how to save for different goals or apply for a loan

– Dispense cashier’s checks

– Transfer money

– Handle customer account questions

– Help customers understand their digital options and how to take advantage of them

– Service credit card, Investing, auto lending and Spark Small Business products
