Talented, kind and brave; Kimiko Glenn had stepped out of her comfort zone and shared her talents to the world. She is known around the world as Brook Soso in the Netflix series “Orange is the New Black.”

Kimiko Glenn Biography

Kimiko Glenn grew up in Phoenix, AZ with her sister Amanda. Her parents Mark and Sumiko are very supportive to their children. When Kumiko is 10, she join the Valley Youth Theatre and slowly developing her love for performing.

 

While attending her college Boston Conservatory as a freshman, she was scouted for the first National Tour of “Spring Awakening.” And in just two years, she began her life in New York.

 

Once finally settled in New York, she was able to start her career. She got the title role La Jolla Playhouse’s in “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots,” which was directed by Des McAnuff.  She also starred in the Playhouse’s production “The Nightingale,” directed by Moises Kaufman as a bratty Princess Ssu-Ming.

 

One of her greatest pride is performing at the Delacorte Theater for Shakespeare in the Park, in The Public’s Love’s Labour’s “Lost,” directed by Alex Timbers.

 

In the Off-Broadway production of Julianne Moore’s “Freckleface Strawberry,”  she acted as the iconic role of Emily.

 

Kimiko is continuously doing projects after her stage performances. She continued appearing on several movies like”Construction”; “Nous York”; and “Hairbrained” starring Brendan Fraser & Parker Posey. She also showcased her singing talent in the movie-musical short, “Galaxy Comics,” by director Kevin McMullin.

 

As a versatile artist, she gladly jumped into the opportunity acting for NBC Universal’s half-hour comedy pilot “Holding Patterns.”
