Davis won her first Academy Award in 1935, for her part as a pained youthful performing artist in Dangerous. She then showed up in The Petrified Forest with male stars Leslie Howard and Humphrey Bogart in 1937.

1950
In 1950, Davis gave one of her most permanent exhibitions in the big time dramatization All About Eve, featuring as Margo Channing, a theater performing artist who fights off the frailties of moving toward middle age (and the plotting of a manipulative protégé) with mocking mind and more than a couple of mixed drinks. American performer Bette Davis was conceived on April 5, 1908, in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Davis started to try out for theater parts in New York, and in 1929 she made her stage début at Greenwich Village’s Provincetown Playhouse in The Earth Between. Soon thereafter, at 21 years old, she showed up in the comic drama Broken Dishes.
