Adrianne Palicki Biography

During her school years at the local Whitmer High School, she ran track, played basketball, and was a runner-up for homecoming queen. Before landing acting gigs, she used to work making sandwiches at Togo’s restaurant

Early when she was working on her way to land a career in Hollywood show business, Adrianne Palicki secured guest roles in some TV shows, like “Smallville” (2004), “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (2004), “North Shore” (2005), and “Supernatural” (2005 – 2009). Her determination granted her a deal with NBC in 2006 to join the cast ensemble of its drama series “Friday Night Lights”. She was a regular on the show until the first three seasons, portraying the role of Tyra Collette. Bigger roles on the small screen followed then, like in Fox’s “Lone Star” and horror series “From Dusk till Dawn: The Series”.

In 2003, Palicki also appeared as Judy Robinson in John Woo’s unsold pilot, The Robinsons: Lost in Space. In 2006, she also appeared in The WB pilot Aquaman as the evil Nadia. The pilot was not picked up for series by the CW network, a result of The WB and UPN network merger, which occurred while the pilot was being filmed. She also appeared as Kara/Lindsey Harrison in the Season 3 finale of Smallville.

After minor roles in some films, in 2012 Palicki was cast as Toni Walsh in “Red Dawn”, a war film based on the 1984 film of the same name. It was her involvement in the movie that brought the actress to experience her big break despite the fact that “Red Dawn” received mostly negative reviews from film critics.  Although initially signed on to star in the Jamie Babbit’s 2012 horror film Breaking the Girls, due to production delays and scheduling conflicts, Palicki does not appear in the film.

She made an appearance in the will.i.am music video “We Are the Ones” in support of 2008 presidential hopeful Barack Obama. In 2010, Palicki joined the FOX television drama Lone Star, which was cancelled after two episodes, despite good reviews. In 2011, Palicki portrayed Wonder Woman in a 2011 pilot produced by David E. Kelley for NBC. The pilot was not picked up as a series. She played the recurring role of Dr. Samantha Lake in season one of the sitcom About a Boy in 2014, reuniting with Friday Night Lights showrunner Jason Katims.

The following year, she was billed to star as the female lead Lady Jaye in “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”. By 2014, she had two big screen projects, namely “John Wick” and “Dr. Cabbie”. Besides, she was also recruited to get into the shoes of Barbara “Bobbi” Morse / Mockingbird in ABC’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” created by Joss Whedon.

She became one of the principal casts after the midseason break of season 2 and throughout season 3. In 2016, ABC ordered a pilot episode for a spin-off, Marvel’s Most Wanted, featuring her character in the lead role.
