J. Crew

J. Crew History

J. Crew got their start in 1983 with nothing more than a catalog. Six years later they opened their first flagship store at South Street Seaport in New York. As time went on, J. Crew went from being that one lonely catalog to a nationwide retailer with stores and outlets all over the Us and Canada.

In 2003 Millard Drexler took over as Chairman and CEO of J. Crew, focusing strongly on service, quality and innovation. This lead to the partnerships we know, love and are now accustomed to at J. Crew, including Timex, Jack Purcell, Thomas Mason and several others. Aside from their partnerships and the J. Crew brand they also set out to create a denim company in 2006, Madewell, which is a modern interpretation of an old American denim brand. Like everything else J. Crew seems to touch, it's very well done.

J. Crew Review

Reviewed by Life, Tailored on .

J. Crew is a timeless brand that truly encompasses American style. Classic like Ralph Lauren and buttoned up like Banana Republic, but with a lot more fashion forward and trend pieces, J. Crew is at the top of their game. The clothes are done well, and they aren't out of style after one season.

One of my favorite things about J. Crew would have to be the J. Crew Factory brand. For a lesser price and still amazing quality, you can get all the greatness of J. Crew while keeping some extra cash in your wallet. Not a bad deal.

Check out the J. Crew website, and keep your eyes on Life, Tailored while we make sure to bring you all the latest sales, promo codes and hidden gems from J. Crew as they pop up.
