Tupac Shakur, one of the best rap MC’s of all time, turns forty-three today.
Born in East Harlem on June 16th, 1971 Tupac eventually moved west to Los Angeles and started his climb to the top of the charts. One of the most revered rappers of all time Tupac is noted for his masterful command of lyrics and colorful language. Pac was the champion of the West, an allegiance that led to conflict with East Coast magnate Notorious B.I.G.
On Las Vegas Boulevard in 1996 Pac was shot numerous times in a drive-by shooting. He was rushed to the hospital and died six days later. The murder remains unsolved and you can read more about it here. Conspiracy theorist will claim til they’re blue in the face that Tupac is still alive and hiding out somewhere. Whether or not you believe is up to you. We do know one thing though, Tupac’s leagacy remains alive and well in the hearts of his fans and the MC’s who dominate the game today.
