The 10 Best Men’s Raincoats This Spring

New-York-Rain

Ahhh, Spring.  Chirping birds, new love, blooming flowers, and a ton of shitty, rainy days to balance out the beautiful ones.  As much as a rainy day can ruin your parade, we here at Life, Tailored don’t think they’re the worst things in the world.  We like big ole’ umbrellas, stylish rain boots, and best of all, raincoats.

So in celebration of the new season slowly making its way onto our calendars we wanted to help you be prepared for the days to follow.  Here are the 10 best raincoats for men this spring.

Burberry London

Burberry-London-Double-Breasted-Trenchcoat-Rain-Coat

We’re getting the classics out of the way early.  The classic mid-length Burberry London Trench in a dark navy to set you apart, you honestly can’t go wrong.  It’s pricey, but it will last you a lifetime and is guaranteed to be in style year after year.

Burberry Lodon Double-Breasted Trenchcoat, $2,195.

Burberry London

Like I said, we’re getting the classics out here early.  Standard khaki Burberry trench, but cut much shorter than your grandpa’s.  A good trench coat goes with everything, and this is the best of the best when it comes to trenches.

Burberry London Poly-Cotton Trenchcoat, $1,395.

J. Crew

J-Crew-Rain-Coat

Perfectly casual while holding onto a stylish vibe.  We love the minimalistic feel, the color, the fit, you name it.  Plus it’s a pretty solid price for a quality jacket from J. Crew.

x150 Cotton-Nylon Hooded Jacket by J. Crew, $168.

Mackintosh

Mackintosh-Appin-Ventile-Hooded-Rain-Coat

Another army inspired jacket, with some additional length to keep your legs nice and dry.  This is the kind of raincoat you’ll want to wear even when the sun is out, because not only does it protect you from getting wet, but you’ll look super fly.

Mackintosh Appin Ventile Hooded Raincoat, $1,300.

The North Face

North-Face-Mountain-Man-Rain-Coat

Great for the cold, and just as good for the rain.  North Face does an excellent job of mixing style and functionality in their winter lines and their spring apparel is no different.  This coat is sharp, no matter what the weather is.

The North Face 1985 Mountain Jacket, $134.

Penfield

Penfield-Raincoat

Another excellent casual jacket for some light rain.  We picture this with some slim fit khakis and some badass running shoes when there is a chance of rain.

Penfield Rochester Rain Jacket, $140.

Bonobos

Rockland-Rain-Coat-Bonobos

Bonobos focuses on high quality with a great fit and this definitely isn’t sacrificed in their outerwear collection.  The jacket is sturdy and durable, and looks good enough to wear in the city in addition to the hiking trails.

Bonobos Rockland Raincoat, $228.

Stutterheim

Stutterheim-Stockholm-Gut-Raincoat

The coolest raincoat you ever had as a child, in adult form.  We have to give respect to this yellow masterpiece.  It can be pulled off, but not by the faint of heart.  But if you put this together correctly you have the potential to be not only the best dressed, but also the driest man on the street.

Stutterheim Stockholm Gul Raincoat, $368.

Bonobos

Stone-Harbor-Rain-coat-Bonobos

Another great piece from Bonobos.  It’s simple and modern without any added frills.  Great for the man who likes to keep his wardrobe simple, while the teal color will still set you apart from everyone else attempting to flag down a taxi.

Bonobos Stone Harbor Raincoat, $248.

Bonobos

The-Marlowe-Jacket-Rain-Coat-Bonobos

In case you were eyeing up that Burberry trench in the earlier slide, but your bank account just doesn’t agree with your taste, we have a great alternative.  Far from a cheap knockoff, the quality is still on par and the fit is exactly how you want it.  Plus you can knock the ‘1’ off the front of the price tag.

Bonobos Marlowe Trench Coat, $328.
