Combatant Gentlemen is a direct to consumer menswear line that offers suiting, separates, and outerwear. This is my Combat Gent Review covering their suits, shirts and how they stack up to Indochino and Suitsupply.
Combat Gent operates wholly online, which allows them to cut out the costs of traditional stores and pass on those savings to you.
What that means is super high quality pieces at super in-reach prices.

Here’s how we made a $240 double breasted suit look more like a $2400 double breasted suit.
Working with Combatant Gentlemen, they asked us if we could make a suit that costs about the same as a Presidential haircut look like a thousand plus suit.
We picked up the Navy double breasted suit for $240, and went to work.
When the suit arrived, the jacket fit absolutely perfectly. The pants arrived ready to be tailored. They intentionally have no bottom seam so you can adjust to your liking.
I brought the pants to my local tailor and got them tapered at the knee, and cropped to be just above my monk straps.
A week later, we got this look.
I paired the jacket with Combat Gent’s white dotted button-down shirt for $35, and skipped the tie.
I went with my suede Ferragamo double monk straps that I bought used on eBay for well over half off.
For a $240 suit, this thing kicks ass.
The fabric was soft to the touch, and I could definitely see myself wearing this all day without even noticing it.
I really liked the detail on the plaid. It’s subtle enough in the photos to make it stand out, but not too flashy to turn heads at a conservative workplace.

What’s New for Combat Gent’s Winter Lineup
We take a look at the selections and styles Combatant Gentlemen has available for Winter 2016.
Proving that looking dapper and staying warm aren’t mutually exclusive, their multi-season overcoat is an absolute essential when the temperatures dip.
Designed with the same trim, tailored silhouette as all of Gents suits, the overcoat is crafted from soft, 100% Italian wool.
Featuring a soft-shouldered construction, 3-button style, and a medium length that hits at mid-thigh, the coat is finished with exceptional details like a fully lined interior, a ticket pocket, and classic, British-style swelled edges.
Combat Gent’s Denim
Great denim starts with great fabric and Combatant Gentlemen’s Endurance Denim is no different. Cut in a slim straight fit, this denim is built to move and withstand a week and weekend of all-out wear.
This crisp and dressy black hue pairs excellently with a tie and a blazer for a big day at work or a night out on the town.
The Double Breasted Line
The quickest way to elite style status? A double breasted suit. Combining heritage-inspired tailoring with a modern sensibility, they craft our exceptional 100% Italian wool into a bold bronze windowpane pattern that gives this suit a regal feel.
Tailored to perfection in the signature slim fit, they construct the soft-shouldered, double breasted silhouette with a half-canvassed structure for durability and fit that conforms to your individual shape.
For $35, This is One Hell of a Button-Down
Button-down shirts don’t have to feel, well, so buttoned-down all the time. Enter Combatant Gents dotted button-down, which pairs exceptional craftsmanship with a fun but versatile print that will separate you from the pack.
They cut and sew their shirts to exacting standards and finish them with all details you’ve come to expect: a button-down collar, removable collar stays, reinforced buttons and seams, and double-button barrel cuffs.
Pair this shirt with some denim and a sharp blazer to make a statement on your next date or night out with the boys.
Great shirts start with a great foundation. Combatant Gentlemen sourced this remarkably wrinkle-resistant 100% cotton mini herringbone weave from one of the finest mills in Italy. They cut and sew the shirts to exacting standards.
Whether you’re gearing up for a day at the office and pairing this shirt with a killer suit or wearing it with your favorite selvedge denim for a night out, we guarantee you’re going to look outstanding.
For guys who need to wear a tie to work
Bold patterns are the new suiting power move and this exceptional guncheck pattern is a great place to start. Combatant crafts this checked pattern from exceptional 100% Italian wool in a striking navy combination.
Tailored to perfection in their signature slim fit, and constructed with a half-canvassed structure for durability and fit that conforms to your individual shape.
The traditional suit
The suit is completed with a dual-vented, soft-shouldered jacket design and flat-front pants. Not just for a hunting lodge in the English countryside, pair this mid-week shot-caller with a crisp, solid shirt and a striped or knit tie for a look that’s going to add some confidence to your suit rotation.
