How We’re Celebrating Valentine’s Day & Our 6 Year Anniversary in New York

This post is sponsored by Jared The Galleria of Jewelry as part of their #JaredTimelessMoments campaign. All opinions are my own.

Valentine’s Day is a holiday we love celebrating in our house. Not only because it’s another excuse for me to spoil the love of my life, @ThreadTherapy, but it happens to be the same day we moved to New York 6 years ago.

@ThreadTherapy and I absolutely love New York, and couldn’t be happier here, but our journey definitely had its ups and downs prior to landing where we are today. We moved from a tiny college town right into Downtown Manhattan, and had to sell our car, almost all of our possessions and get down to just 2 suitcases for our first apartment.

I remember all we brought in our suitcase was our clothes, which having moved to New York in February, and being lifelong Floridians, our clothes definitely did not pass the cut. We had to quickly donate our existing clothes, and upgrade our entire wardrobe to get through the chilly nights.

To revel in our six years together in NYC, and with Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, I worked with the team at Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry to select a few pieces that help tell our story. At Jared, feelings are turned into jewelry. They are dedicated to helping their guests find or make the perfect piece to express the way one feels about their loved ones.

The team at Jared made it really easy for me to find the perfect pieces for Stephanie. Jared has a large selection of fine jewelry for any milestone or occasion at all price points.
To celebrate the amazing times and memories we’ve built, I’ve selected a few pretty and petite pieces of jewelry from the Jared Valentine’s Day collection I think @ThreadTherapy will love!

You can also shop these selections from the Jared’s Valentine’s Day Gift Guide collection as well as each piece featured below. One of my favorite pieces was this Diamond Bezel Necklace.

The reason I love this piece is because, when it comes to jewelry, less is more, which really reminds me of Stephanie. Her style is about simple, statement pieces that allow her natural beauty and personality to take front stage.

The same reason I’m not going to wear a piece of clothing with a giant, ostentatious label all over it, I prefer jewelry in the same vein. Something simple and elegant makes a larger statement and draws people in to examine it. The diamond itself catches the light, and has an amazing sparkle to it.

Although gold is classic, I feel like it is having a special moment right now, and that’s why my eye really drifted towards the Miniature Triangle Necklace 10K Yellow Gold 18″ Length. The triangle has a myriad of different meanings, but the one that really stood out to me was a downward pointed triangle represents feminine energy. @ThreadTherapy has boundless energy, and I’m impressed by her drive every day.

If the woman in your life already has a statement necklace, get her another one! Women love options. And, look to the Triangle Ring 10K Yellow Gold to go with it. I’ve seen countless amazing shots on IG of women with their freshly painted manicures holding a cup of coffee, and this Triangle Ring is the perfect accessory for these shots.

Since Stephanie already has her wedding band and engagement ring, she loves to personalize her right hand with rings, and that’s why this Triangle ring is the perfect way for her to inject gold into her style (since her wedding band is platinum).

So, to remember our journey through the years, I’ve also pulled together some of our photos. I haven’t omitted our prior fashion faux-pas, and I think it’s fun to see how we’ve both evolved our life and our style (hence: Life, Tailored) over the past 6 years. I encourage you to think through your own love story, before selecting pieces from Jared for your special someone.I know it will inspire you to find something she’ll absolutely love this Valentine’s Day!

I invite you to laugh along with us as we take a walk down memory lane below.
