This New On-Demand App Has Made Me Love Doing Laundry

Let’s face it: Life is chaotic. Between work and other responsibilities, it can be almost impossible to find the time to do your laundry and go to the dry cleaners on your own time. That’s why FlyCleaners, an on demand pick-up and delivery dry cleaning service, was first invented. To date, they have cleaned over 5,000,000 pounds of laundry in New York City, providing fast and quality dry cleaning to the working adult in the Big Apple.

Use my code ANDRMHJV to get $20 of credit on your first order and live life laundry free!

Download the FlyCleaners app: https://flycleaners.app.link/refemail

All you have to do is download the app and sign up. From there, you tap the dial, confirm the time of pick-up, and wait for them to come to you. A FlyGuy will come to your door at your designated time and bring you a new laundry bag for your clothes. Once the clothes are bagged, the FlyGuy is on their way to get your clothes washed and laundered. There’s no fuss or stress on your end whatsoever, which I absolutely love.

The clothes are shipped to a FlyCleaners partner to be washed, dried, and pressed to your specifications. You will be notified once they’re finished and you will then be able to set a delivery time. Voila! The clean clothes show up at your door like magic.

At this time, FlyCleaners offers free delivery and pick-up for all orders over $30 and the hours are great, too! The service is offered 7 days a week, from 6am to midnight. At this time, FlyCleaners is offered all over Manhattan and Brooklyn.

They keep expanding, too. Red Hook, Carroll Gardens, Clinton Hill, and Bushwick have recently been added to the app and folks here can now request a pickup by using the app’s on-demand or ‘schedule for later’ options.

Services & Prices

It is worth noting that the prices are highly dependent on where in New York City you currently live. In an attempt to give some pricing, however, here are the prices for where I live in Brooklyn. Here’s what they offer:

Dry Cleaning
Dress Shirt $2.99
Blouse, Tie, Vest $6.25
Pants, Skirt, Sweater $7.25
Suit Jacket / Blazer $7.75
Suit, Dress $14.99

Is it worth the money?

I’ve been using FlyCleaners for the last 3 years and I love it.  I send my orders out once a week and rarely That said, it isn’t without its faults. One of the major problems that I often have is that the app can sometimes glitch when you’re in the middle of trying to place an order. This can become tedious and flat-out annoying, where you have to enter and re-enter your information countless times until the app finally decides to let your order go through.

Another problem I foresee is the fact that, although they are starting to expand to other locations, they still aren’t all over the city just yet. This can be a bit annoying for those that are on the outskirts, though I don’t have that current problem. There’s also the occasional situation where another person’s laundry somehow gets mixed up with yours. This doesn’t happen often, but it’s enough to make you take a step back every so often.

Overall, FlyCleaners is a great option for busy New York City folks who either don’t have a washer/dryer in their building or don’t have a favorite laundromat around the corner. If you have another option that you’re comfortable with, I say stick with that.
