Julia Goldani Telles Biography

Julia Goldani Telles was born in Los Angeles, California but spent most of her youth in Rio de Janiero in South America. Her father is Mexican-American while her mother is Brazillian decent. While in Rio, she learned ballet. They returned back to Los Angeles in America when was five years old in 2000. She enrolled in Manhattan’s Professional Children’s School where she again studied ballet.

 

She also studied ballet in several school like the School of American Ballet where she performed in many ballet performances such as the “Swan Lake,” the “Sleeping Beauty” and the “Nutcracker.

 

Sadly when she was 15 years old, Julia begin to suffer from tendonitis and other ballet-related hip injuries forcing her to let of dancing. But that didn’t stop her. She then studied drama.

 

In 2011, she got her first TV role without passing any resumes or headshots or even any acting experience. Her first role was on the short ABC family show, “Bunheads.” The show started in 2012 and lasted until early 2013 having only 18 episodes.

 

However, in 2012, she also appeared in Nat & Alex Wolff’s music video for “Greatest Prize.”

 

Shortly after the end of “Bunheads,” she appeared in several shows such as “Blue Bloods,” and “The Carrie Diaries” as well as in “Nurse Jackie”.

 

And then she landed her biggest role yet at Showtime’s “The Affair” as Whitney Solloway. The show was a great success than it got a second season in 2015.

 

She also appeared on “The Wire” as the daughter of “Dominic West” and  Maura Tierney of “E.R.”
