Elisha Ann Cuthbert was born November 30, 1982 in Canada. She started her career as the host of a children’s TV series Popular Mechanics for Kids. Her notable TV roles is being Kim Bauer in the action-thriller from Fox, “24”. She appeared in the movies Airspeed, Love Actually, House of Wax and Captivity.

Cuthbert grew up in Montreal, Quebec with her two younger siblings. In 2000, she studied at Centennial Regional High School and moved to Los Angeles when she was 17 to do acting. She promised to her parents that if it did not work in six months, then she would come back to Montreal and go to college. “I didn’t want to be delusional. I wanted a finish line. In the last week, ’24’ happened. It was my 24th audition.”
In 2001, Cuthbert got a role in the television film “Lucky Girl.” She earned an award at Gemini, which is similar to Emmy in Canada.

At a young age, Elisha modeled children’s clothing and also a foot model. She became a permanent member on the show “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” and co-hosted “Popular Mechanics for Kids.” Her feature roles include “Airspeed,” but it was her role as the daughter of Jack Bauer on “24” that earned her the most attention.

From there, Elisha Cuthbert received the roles in “Old School,” “Love Actually,” “The Girl Next Door,” “House of Wax,” “The Quiet,” and “Captivity.” Her career began to wane and then she landed on the ABC comedy “Happy Endings.” She’d love for Kiefer Sutherland to play her dad on the show and said it was his idea.

Elisha said during the filming of a comedy, “.I do come from a more subdued, subtle form of acting. But I like to get right up there with them. It’s been a lot of fun. Even though it’s different, I’m comfortable in it. I feel like I belong and it’s good.I’m learning a lot”.

She is engaged to her boyfriend in what she calls “the first real, healthy relationship of my life. I think you learn something from every relationship. But I’ve spent too much time with people who weren’t worth spending that much time with.”

Elisha Cuthbert lives in Los Angeles, but usually goes back to Canada.
