Constance Elaine Womack and fraternal twin sister Cynthia Womack was born in March 6, 1967 at Boston, Massachusetts to parents Linda and Allen. They moved to Lynchburg, Virginia when she was seven years old. She attended E.C. Glass High school and Dartmouth College. She was an Asian Studies major at Dartmouth where she met her husband John Britton.

Upon graduating college in 1989, Connie moved to New York City. She began studying under famed acting coach, Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse. After two years she landed her first major acting role in “The Early Girl” for The Courtyard Playhouse, which lead to many more roles in off-Broadway productions. She got married in 1991 however they got divorced in 1995 and that same year she got a part in “The Brothers Mcmullen” which is her first feature film.

The success of “The Brothers Mcmullen” received Sundance’s Grand Jury Price which launched actor/director Ed Burn’s career. When she moved to Los Angeles it was not long before this red haired beauty’s career hit full swing. Connie had a recurring role on the series “Ellen”, was cast opposite Micheal J Fox in the acclaimed television comedy “Spin City” for six seasons, but left when Charlie Sheen became the new star. She had close relations with Ed Burns and got her role in “No Looking Back” as well as “The Fighting Fitzgerald”.

Connie had variety of TV series, including high-flying roles on “The West Wing”, “24”, “Friday Night Lights”, “A Nightmare in Elm Street”(2010) and “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World”. Currently she stars as country singer Rayna Jaymes in “Nashville”.

As for her personal life, Connie likes the outdoors. Hiking, Biking and Running is her favorites. She taught aerobics during college and in New York. She has various volunteer work and has an adopted son, Eyob to take care of.
