Alexis Ren was born in Santa Monica, CA and currently lives in Los Angeles, California. She is of Croatian and German descent. Her father is a Lawyer and her mother was a Health Nutritionist. Alexis is the third youngest of 5, she has 2 older sisters, 1 younger sister, and a little brother. On mother’s day of 2013 Ren’s mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rectal Cancer. On January 8, 2013 her mother passed away.

It was the right move, because before too long, Alexis Ren model would be appearing on magazine covers all around the world. After spending a brief amount of time as a freelance model, she was signed to Nous Model Management at the age of 14 years. She spent the next two years working with clients like Seventeen magazine, slowing building up her portfolio, and turning heads fast.

Everyone asks how old is Alexis Ren?  She became an internet sensation at the age of 16 after a photo shoot with Lucas Passmore went viral. Just twelve months later, and she was walking her first runway for Sahara Ray Swim, in Los Angeles. She has now worked with brands as diverse as Calvin Klein, Penta Water, Hurley, C-Heads, and Next Door Model magazine.

 

In other words, it is hard to ignore the rapid rise and rise of this young model, who is still only 18 years of age, with a long and fertile career ahead of her. Yet, life was not always this glamorous for Alexis, who devoted eleven years to perfecting her ballet skills. It has not always been this much fun either, as her mother passed away in 2013, after being diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.

 

Fortunately, there is not much that can stop Alexis from pursuing her runway dreams, even if she does seem to be more focused on the commercial side of the industry than high fashion. In fact, there are lots and lots of new models (people like Kate Upton, for example) who do not have quite the right body types for high fashion, but are whipping up a storm at commercial shows.

 

With her sunny disposition and wonderfully curvy frame, Alexis  does seem better suited to the somewhat bouncier and more colorful world of Victoria’s Secrets, Forever 21, Puma, Nasty Girl, and We The Urban. These are youth brands, and they are designed to appeal to young fashion fans, and it should not be forgotten that this model is one of them.

 

In many ways, she is the perfect ambassador for fashion fanatics in their teens.  She is beautiful bubbly, vivacious, and living proof that everybody has the potential to deal with tragedy in a positive manner. The future looks bright for her because she has a supportive family, a rapidly expanding modelling portfolio, and is currently hooked up with photographer Jay Alvarrez.
