Christopher Ruben Studdard conceived September 12, 1978, in Frankfurt, Germany. He is an American R&B, pop and gospel vocalist.

While trying out, Studdard sang Stevie Wonder’s “Strip in the Sky”. This guided him to being one of the neighborhood finalists. On American Idol, he inspired watchers with his exhibitions of the Leon Russell/Bonnie Bramlett melody “Hotshot” (best known as a hit for The Carpenters) and the Peabo Bryson/Regina Belle two-part harmony “A Whole New World”; amid his time on the show, Studdard got laud from music legends, for example, Lionel Richie, Neil Sedaka, Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, Luther Vandross, and Gladys Knight.
