His repeating characters included Mr. Peepers, Mango, Azrael Abyss, Kyle DeMarco from The DeMarco Brothers, Gay Hitler, Suel Forrester (known for the expression “dagitybo”) and, most strikingly, one portion of the Butabi Brothers with individual SNL (and Groundlings) cast part Will Ferrell, known for their trademark head-swaying. Kattan and Ferrell proceeded with the characters in 1998’s A Night at the Roxbury.

Kattan was conceived in Culver City, California. His dad, Kip King (1937-2010), was an on-screen character and voice performer who showed up on the arrangement Reno 911! as Larrie Plum. His mom, Hajnalka E. Biro, was once shot for Playboy and filled in as a model in London. His dad was Jewish of Iraqi and Polish drop, while his mom, a local of Budapest, Hungary, is a Buddhist. His stepfather was a Buddhist advisor and minister. His relative, Andrew Joslyn, is an expert performer and author. Kattan was raised on a Zen withdraw on Mount San Antonio (Mount Baldy), outside Los Angeles. He lived on Bainbridge Island, Washington, where he went to Bainbridge High School, and graduated in 1989.

Kattan was an individual from a few improv/draw parody troupes one of them being The Groundlings in Los Angeles. His dad was a unique individual from the troupe. Kattan additionally did some minor parts on TV, including the primary scene of the second period of NewsRadio, “No, This Is Not Based Entirely on Julie’s Life,” as a photograph shop representative.
